Sorry for the delay there bloggers...... typical isn't it..... you login for news and get my drivel for days upon end, and then the big event finally it happens and the blog goes quiet!!
The statistics are (bean counters privilege).... 15 hours of labour...... 3.856 kilos, 51 cm long..... born 13.00 or 13.06.... depending on which clock you were looking at...... 2 eyes, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and one gorgoeus little girl :-)
Am very proud of my wife and daughter..... Marit for not complaining once through the whole thing and being braver than anything I've seen or am likely to see..... and Milly because she's Milly.
We hope to come home tomorrow, if Milly isn't too yellow. More news then.... but I'm sure everybody's more interested in the pictures than the words.........
I'm going to be the first to comment and say... wow... isn't she lovely! Well done to Marit for putting up with all that pain and producing such a gorgeous baby! Well done to Andrew... for watching! Just kidding - I'm sure you were a tremendous help and support to Marit.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be more pleased for both of you. There was a collective sigh of relief and then a whoop for joy when we got the news (On the green having our end of season picnic). CONGRATULATIONS! And welcome to the family Milly xxx
Milly Marvelous!
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH! Marvellous is just right.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! You've got us (Julia and I) in the office filling up. (And Julia hasn't even met any of you!)
Words just can't say it. How wonderful. Well done Marit for being such a star! Congratulations both of you! And HELLO MILLY!
Lots and lots and lots of love to you all!
Belinda (and Julia!)

See, I'm a bloke. And a Northern bloke at that. So I just can't express my joy in gushing terms like these girls. Lynne immediately chastised me for my short comment.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'm feeling the joy but I have to keep the British upper lip stiff.
